Improve Your Sales Pitch with Presenter Notes

I have always been fascinated by how confident certain individuals can be in front of an audience when pitching their products online. The fluidity of how they convey ideas only adds to their credibility, and more often than not, I think it's an inborn talent (you can't beat that). Some may argue that such valuable communication skill takes months--or years even--to master.
But what if you're like me who's just starting in the business; someone who doesn't have the luxury of time to dedicate countless days/weeks to memorizing your material line after line? Is there a life hack of sorts that can help us improve how we deliver our sales pitches to make them more believable? Well, there is a solution, and it's very simple. All you need is the right tool.
Like many people, I have difficulty memorizing things in general. For people working in sales, the ability to deliver your message to potential clients flawlessly, albeit without sounding scripted is crucial, to say the least. Well, it may sound like the situation is asking too much, but I digress. It's possible to pull this off without consuming too much time.
Contrary to popular belief, one does not need to memorize his/her sales pitch word for word. Preparing your presentation notes--and doing it the right way is the key ingredient to a better, more convincing sales pitch.
VideoCom Presenter's very own note-taking feature Presenter Notes enables you to jot down just about anything specific to each slide in the presentation, allowing you to organize your thoughts and ideas based on what's currently being shown to your viewers.

Here are some tips on how you can take advantage of Presenter Notes to improve your Sales Pitch:
• The goal is to capture your potential client's attention with heartfelt words coming from your personal knowledge of the product and not from a script that's read word for word. This means (as much as possible), do not use Presenter Notes to write an exact script of your sales pitch. It's best to write down the main idea of what the slide entails in a sentence or two. With that said, use the Presenter Notes sparingly and keep your eyes focused on your camera so your clients can still feel you're speaking to them on a personal level.
• Still practice. Yes, we're trying to significantly cut down the time spent on memorizing and practicing your sales pitch, but that doesn't mean you should skip this part entirely. Just a very quick practice or two as you go through each slide and notes should suffice.
• Don't forget the keywords/phrases. Imagine these magical words as trail marks you leave as you go deeper into the forest--they help you remember where you've been so you don't end up getting lost on your way back. Having a list of keywords/phrases in your Presenter Notes will definitely help you stay on track so that everything that needs to be said is not missed.
Alongside your best note-keeping practices, having the best tool with you is a sure way to be on top of your game in sales pitching. Want to know more? Click here and learn how VideoCom Presenter can be the best tool for creating sales demos!
